Zulum Hosts North East Governors for 13th Forum Meeting in Maiduguri

Borno State Governor and Chairman of the North East Governors’ Forum, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, is hosting the five other governors of the region for the Forum’s 13th regular meeting in Maiduguri.

‎The visiting governors are Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe, Agbu Kefas of Taraba and Mai Mala Buni of Yobe among other distinguished guests.
‎
‎On behalf of the Government and the good people of Borno State, I warmly welcome my brother governors of the region and our distinguished guests to Maiduguri for the 13th regular meeting of the North East Governors’ Forum, Zulum said.
‎
‎The two-day meeting begins today, Friday, October 2, and ends on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Multipurpose Hall, Government House, Maiduguri.
‎
‎The governors are expected to discuss a range of issues affecting the sub-region. These include strengthening good governance, promoting peaceful coexistence, improving security and improving the socioeconomic well-being of the people of the North East.
‎
‎The North East Governors’ Forum is a platform for regional cooperation, joint policy action and coordinated development across Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe States.
