MAIDUGURI — Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has approved the appointment of four Special Advisers and a Senior Technical Assistant as part of efforts to strengthen governance and accelerate the state’s post-insurgency recovery drive.
The new Special Advisers are Engr. Ali Goni Lawan, Hon. Ali Sheriff Galgal, Hon. Bukar Aliyu Daja and Hon. Makinta M. Zarami.
In a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Dauda Iliya, the appointments were made pursuant to the powers conferred on the Governor under Section 196(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).
Governor Zulum also approved the appointment of Engr. Gujja Bukar Dalori as Senior Technical Assistant on Reconstruction.
The statement said the appointments are aimed at reinforcing the administration’s commitment to effective governance, reconstruction and sustainable development after 17 years of insurgency.
The Governor congratulated the appointees and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them through dedication and selfless service.
He charged them to deploy their wealth of experience and expertise to advance his administration’s vision of rebuilding communities, consolidating peace, and delivering quality service to the people of Borno State.
