…says Appointment Targets Food Security, Economic Growth
OWERRI — Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, on Tuesday swore in Chief Longers Anyanwu as the Commissioner for Agriculture.
The Governor announced the development in a post on his official X handle, @Hope_Uzodimma1, following the State Executive Council Meeting.
According to him, the appointment comes as the administration continues to strengthen the agricultural sector in the state.
“I look forward to the fresh ideas, innovation, and renewed energy he will bring to our collective efforts to improve the livelihood of our people,” Uzodimma said.
The Governor noted that agriculture remains central to his administration’s vision for economic growth, food security, and sustainable prosperity.
“I am confident that we will achieve even greater milestones for our dear State,” he added.
