Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has restated his administration’s commitment to providing quality and affordable healthcare, with a special focus on cancer prevention and treatment.

‎Speaking while receiving a delegation of the First Ladies Against Cancer (FLAC) in Owerri, the governor said delivering healthcare at little or no cost and ensuring seamless access remains a critical objective of his government.

‎He noted that the partnership with stakeholders, including civil society groups, is central to achieving better health outcomes for Imo people.

‎“While addressing a delegation of the First Ladies Against Cancer (FLAC), led by my wife, Chief (Barr.) Mrs. Chioma Uzodimma, I reaffirmed our resolve to confronting the scourge of cancer and highlighted the various initiatives and interventions we have implemented so far,” Uzodimma said.

‎The governor added that the state will deepen collaboration with groups like FLAC to improve cancer awareness, prevention, treatment, and support services.

‎He described FLAC’s advocacy as a strong complement to government’s efforts in tackling cancer in the state.
