President Bola Tinubu has approved a final 6-month extension for Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi.

‎The extension, which now expires in February 2027, will allow Adeniyi to consolidate the National Single Window project and ensure orderly succession at NCS.

‎During the transition, he will work with the NCS Board to promote eligible officers to Comptroller rank and retire officers who clock 60 years or 35 years in service.

‎Adeniyi was appointed CGC by Tinubu in June 2023 after rising through the ranks since joining the Service in the late 80s.
