President Bola Tinubu has approved a final 6-month extension for Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi.
The extension, which now expires in February 2027, will allow Adeniyi to consolidate the National Single Window project and ensure orderly succession at NCS.
During the transition, he will work with the NCS Board to promote eligible officers to Comptroller rank and retire officers who clock 60 years or 35 years in service.
Adeniyi was appointed CGC by Tinubu in June 2023 after rising through the ranks since joining the Service in the late 80s.
