ABIA — As 2027 politics gathers momentum, constituents of Umunneochi/Isuikwuato Federal Constituency in Abia State have renewed calls for the return of Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha to the House of Representatives, describing her as “our choice, our pride, and our hope.”
In an open letter dated July 15, 2026, and signed by Onyeje Godswill Ikechukwu, popularly known as Mr. Bush of Mr BushTV International, the voters urged the Deputy Speaker of the House to “never give up on her people.”
The letter framed the demand around industrial empowerment rather than “quick, perishable wealth and empty political settlements.”
“What Umunneochi needs today is deliberate, standard diplomatic engagement of our skilled youths to make them productive, contented, and proud of their homeland,” the letter stated. “What our people demand is industrial-based empowerment and sustainable employment opportunities.”
The writers also highlighted Onyejeocha’s role as one of the strongest female voices in the National Assembly, noting that she “carries the sacred emotions of motherhood into governance.”
“You are not just representing us, you are the Voice of our daughters, our wives, and our mothers,” the letter read.
It further called for greater inclusion of women in leadership, arguing that “maternal instinct is the governance Africa needs.”
“Therefore, we must return Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha to the GREEN Chamber. To send a message to every other female aspirant: We have your back,” the letter concluded.
