ISUOCHI — The 19th edition of the Free Barr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha Medical and Surgical Outreach moved to the Madam Suzanna Mba Health Centre, Isuochi, in Umunneochi LGA on Sunday, after three days at Isuikwuato General Hospital.
The outreach, organised by Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, APC candidate for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, is billed to run in Isuochi until Thursday, July 30, 2026.
Addressing beneficiaries and community leaders, Onyejeocha said illness recognises no political party and access to healthcare should not be determined by party affiliation or financial status.
According to her, the message was echoed by stakeholders across party lines. Labour Party chieftain, Chief Ike Opigwe, and community leader, Chief Bethel Onyedikachi Eze, both noting that a healthy community is more important than partisan differences.
Onyejeocha said the outreach is aimed at bringing healthcare closer to the people and ensuring those who cannot afford treatment are not abandoned.
She also noted the personal significance of the venue, which is named after her grandmother, Madam Suzanna Mba, describing the work as part of her commitment to service.
Appreciating the support team, Onyejeocha commended the medical personnel, volunteers, and community leaders for making the exercise possible.
Correspondent reports that medical personnel were attending to patients as at press time, including cases with life-threatening health challenges.
The outreach has so far covered communities in Isuikwuato and is now in Umunneochi as part of efforts to reach residents across the federal constituency.
