ABUJA — The Federal Government says the commitment to improving staff welfare across Nigeria’s tertiary institutions is stronger than ever.
The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, announced this while declaring that the TISSF Cycle 2 Application Portal has officially closed after receiving over 59,000 applications.
TISSF is the Tertiary Institutions Staff Support Fund.
In a statement on Sunday on X, Dr. Alausa extended appreciation to every eligible staff member who applied, saying the overwhelming response reinforces the importance of investing in the welfare, wellbeing and professional growth of the people who keep institutions running daily.
”As we move into the next phase of the process, we remain committed to strengthening staff welfare as part of our broader efforts to transform tertiary education in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR’s Renewed Hope Agenda,” the Minister stated.
He thanked applicants for their interest, patience and continued dedication to advancing higher education in Nigeria.
