The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has arrested suspected members of a phone-theft and “one-chance” syndicate along the Eleyele–Ojoo corridor in Ibadan, Oyo State.

‎In a statement signed by Corps Public Education Officer, Assistant Corps Marshal Jonas Agwu, the suspects were intercepted by an FRSC patrol team on routine patrol after officers observed a motorcycle rider pursuing a Nissan Micra.
‎A female passenger then raised an alarm that her mobile phone had been stolen while inside the vehicle.

‎The case has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Eleyele Division, for comprehensive investigation and possible prosecution.

‎The Corps noted that the incident underscores the critical role of FRSC patrol operatives in enhancing road safety and supporting security efforts through vigilance, rapid response, and collaboration with law enforcement agencies.
