Erstwhile Director-General of the Department of State Services, DSS, Lawal Daura, says he will run for governor of Katsina State in the 2027 election.
Justifying his decision, he stated that he is dissatisfied with the current administration’s handling of security and governance.
Speaking with DCL Hausa on Tuesday, Daura said he has done the necessary consultations on the party platform he intends to use and will reveal it soon.
He faulted the incumbent administration, wondering why the Governor is seeking re-election after what he described as underperformance.
Daura opined that leaders should learn to step aside when they can no longer manage responsibilities effectively.
