The Federal Government has adopted Kaduna State’s household mapping model as the official national system to identify out-of-school children across Nigeria.

‎Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, announced this on Thursday, after a meeting with Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani.

‎Alausa said the Federal Ministry of Education, in partnership with the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, will now conduct a nationwide household mapping exercise covering all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

‎According to him, the exercise is designed to determine the exact number of out-of-school children, their locations, and the households they belong to.
