The FCT Police Command has killed two suspected kidnappers and rescued five abducted victims during a late-night operation in Byazhin, Abuja.

‎The Command said the coordinated operation followed recent abductions in Paze Community, which triggered intensified tracking of the criminal gang.

‎Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohammed Sanusi led a joint security team on a clearance mission that ended in a gun battle with the suspects. Two kidnappers were neutralised, two others arrested, and two AK-47 rifles with magazines recovered.

‎Several members of the gang reportedly escaped with gunshot wounds, while sustained pressure forced the group to abandon five hostages unharmed. The victims have been taken for medical evaluation and efforts are underway to reunite them with their families.

‎Security operatives have intensified search operations across Byazhin and surrounding communities to apprehend fleeing suspects and dismantle the network.

‎The Command urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
