Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have rescued eight kidnapped victims after foiling a terrorist attack in Ungwan Rogo community, Kaura Namoda LGA of Zamfara State.

‎X user and security expert, Bakatsine, who reported the incident, said the rescue happened on Monday evening following credible intelligence.

‎According to the report, the troops swiftly engaged the terrorists, forcing them to flee and abandon their captives.
‎
‎Two vehicles were also recovered during the operation.
‎
‎Bakatsine described it as a display of “bravery, professionalism and unwavering commitment to protecting innocent lives,” and saluted the gallant troops for their swift response.

‎The military said operations are ongoing to keep the area secure and prevent further attacks.
