Pastor Ralph Egbu has been appointed as the Coordinator for Ukwa West State Constituency in the Abia State Labour Party Governorship Campaign Council for the 2027 election.
Egbu’s appointment was contained in a press release on the constitution of the Campaign Council signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma, on Friday, October 2, 2026.
According to the release, Governor Alex Otti approved the constitution of the Council and the appointment of persons to head various leadership positions.
The Council has Governor Otti as Chairman and his Deputy, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu as Vice Chairman.
Rt. Hon. Agwu U. Agwu was appointed Director-General, while Dr. Eric Egwuibe, Dr. Chibuzor Obiesili, Mr. Kelechi Nwaiwu, SAN, Barr. Onyebuchi Ememanka, Dr. Christian Anokwuru and AIG Arungwa Nwazue (Rtd.) were appointed Directors of Finance, Strategy/Planning, Legal, Publicity, Special Duties and Security respectively.
For Zonal Coordinators, Professor Udochukwu Ogbonna was named for Abia Central, Chief Emeka Charles Kalu for Abia North and Hon. Chimaobi Ebisike for Abia South.
Other State Constituency Coordinators include Mr. Innocent Eleogu (Ikwuano), Dr. Obioma Orji (Isiala Ngwa North), Hon. Dannie Ubani (Isiala Ngwa South), Mr. Emmanuel Maduforo Ufomba (Osisioma North), Mr. Innocent Enyinnaya Anyanwu (Osisioma South), Col. Emeka Chilaka (Rtd.) (Umuahia Central), Chief Okey Onyemuwa (Umuahia East), Dr. Aham Uko (Umuahia North), Hon. Jerry Uzosike (Umuahia South), among others.
For Ukwa, Hon. Paul Taribo was appointed for Ukwa East while Hon. Ralph Egbu will coordinate Ukwa West.
The release added that inauguration of the Council members will hold on Monday, October 5, 2026, by 12 noon at the Michael Okpara Auditorium, Umuahia.
