The Progressive Governors Forum, PGF, has reportedly split into rival factions after its chairman, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, was said to have been removed on Thursday.
‎
‎Despite the reported removal, Uzodimma insists he remains the forum’s chairman.
‎
‎Meanwhile, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq are leading a separate faction, with another bloc within the forum said to be rallying behind them.
‎
‎The development signals a significant crack within the ranks of APC governors, coming amid growing political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
‎
‎While details of the disagreement remain unclear, party sources say tensions have been building over internal leadership control and strategic positioning for the next election cycle.
