The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, has decorated 430 junior police officers recently promoted within the Command.
The decoration ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, and across other formations in the state.
This was contained in a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, anipr.
According to the statement, the promotion exercise comprised the decoration of 6 Sergeants to the rank of Inspector, 4 Corporals to the rank of Sergeant, and 420 Constables to the rank of Corporal.
CP Ojajuni described the promotions as a demonstration of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM’s unwavering commitment to the welfare, motivation, and career progression of personnel.
“Timely promotion remains a critical tool for boosting morale and encouraging officers to remain steadfast in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities,” the Commissioner said.
He congratulated the newly promoted officers and charged them to regard their elevation as a call to greater responsibility, discipline, professionalism, and renewed dedication to service.
He urged them to uphold the core values of the Nigeria Police Force, discharge their duties with integrity, respect for human rights, and commitment to the rule of law.
CP Ojajuni further assured that the Ogun State Police Command remains committed to prioritising officers’ welfare and supporting initiatives geared towards strengthening institutional capacity, enhancing operational effectiveness, and promoting excellence in service delivery in line with global best practices in policing.
