Czech club FC Banik Ostrava has celebrated Abdullahi Bewene’s debut for the Super Eagles.

‎Bewene made his debut for Nigeria in Wednesday night’s 2-2 draw against Poland at the PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw.

‎The 21-year-old was not included in head coach Eric Chelle’s original squad but earned a late call-up following the withdrawal of several key players ahead of the friendly.

‎The former Golden Eaglets ace drew praise from fans and pundits alike after delivering an impressive performance in the captivating encounter.

‎Banik Ostrava celebrated Bewene’s maiden appearance for the three-time African champions on social media.

‎“Abdullahi Bewene made his debut for the Nigerian national team on Wednesday. He played the full 90 minutes against Poland in Warsaw, with the friendly match ending in a 2-2 draw,” the club wrote on X.

‎Meanwhile, Bewene expressed his delight after making his debut, pledging to continue giving his all for the national team.

‎“I’m very happy and proud to represent my country. I’m ready to give more of this. When I’m on the pitch, I’m ready to give my all. I just forget everything,” he said after the game.

‎“There are plenty of people in my country. I have to make them happy. I have to make myself happy.”
