Bandits have killed two people and injured another resident in Rinji Idi community, Matazu LGA, Katsina State.
According to security expert Bakatsine, who posted on his verified X handle, the bandits attacked the community at about 11pm on Saturday.
Bakatsine said the attack left residents grieving, with prayers ongoing for the victims and the speedy recovery of the injured.
He reported that community members have intensified calls for an end to the persistent insecurity affecting rural areas across the Matazu axis.
Residents are also questioning the best way to safeguard vulnerable communities despite ongoing security efforts.
