The Court of Appeal has upheld the suspension of A.K. Ajibade, SAN, and his associates including Sam Anyanwu, in the ongoing Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, leadership crisis.

‎The Plateau State Chapter of the PDP, in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Hon. Choji Felix Dalyop, said the appellate court also declined to grant legitimacy to the Abdulrahman-led caretaker committee, describing it as an illegal parallel structure.

‎According to Dalyop, the court dismissed a suit challenging the outcome of the party’s national convention, and declined to rule on the validity of the Ibadan Convention on grounds that the Supreme Court had earlier decided the issue on April 30, 2026.

‎The Plateau PDP said the judgment validates the party’s internal disciplinary mechanisms and the 13-member Interim National Working Committee, INWC, constituted by the Board of Trustees on May 4, 2026, under Dr. Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN.

‎The party also noted that it elected Miskom Raymond Dabo as Plateau State Chairman on November 25, 2025, alongside 38 other executive members.

‎“The courts have reaffirmed that political parties must be governed strictly by their own constitutions, free from external sabotage,” Dalyop said.
