OSOGBO – The Accord Party has called on the people of Osun State to re-elect Governor Ademola Adeleke in the August 15 governorship election, citing what it described as remarkable progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare, security and workers’ welfare under his administration.
In a statement issued ahead of the poll, the party’s National Chairman, Maxwell Mgbudem, said Governor Adeleke’s performance in office makes a strong case for continuity.
Mgbudem expressed confidence that Osun voters would endorse the governor for a second term based on his record of service delivery.
The party also urged the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies to maintain neutrality and guarantee a free, fair, credible and transparent election.
Accord further cautioned against vote buying, stressing that every valid vote must count. It described the Osun governorship election as a critical test of INEC’s preparedness for the 2027 general elections.
