The Abia State Police Command has announced that the screening for Constables will hold daily from March 9th to April 18th, 2026, at the Police Officers Mess, opposite Royal Damgrete Hotel, Factory Road, Umuahia.
According to a statement made available to newsmen on Friday by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen Chinaka, eligible applicants who successfully completed the online registration are required to report for the physical and credential screening.
The statement further advised applicants to come with the following documents: Application Submission Slip, Physical screening form, Invitation Slip, Credential Screening Form, Original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or Card, O’ Level Certificate, Birth Certificate or Declaration of age, LGA/State of Origin Certificate, and Trade Test/Certificate for Specialists.
The Abia Police spokesperson added that dress code for the screening is white T-shirt, a pair of white shorts, white canvas shoes, and white stockings just as applicants are also required to bring guarantors’ forms with photocopies and passports of referees attached.
The Command warned that the screening exercise is totally free of charge, and applicants should beware of impostors and scammers, saying anyone caught engaging in such acts will be arrested and prosecuted.
