…says Claims False, Never Happened
The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 9, Umuahia, AIG Nwonnyi Polycarp Emeka, on Wednesday debunked a viral video reposted in 2026 by one Young C Entertainment, alleging that the police arrested a native doctor, Ogechi Kalu Orji, also known as Kamalu Nnaogwu, from Okun Aku in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State, for the murder of a fellow native doctor, Uche Ngwo Uche and other heinous crimes in Okon Aku Ohafia.
The Police stated in clear terms that the reposted video and the petition for police investigation into crimes linked to the native doctor and accusations of bribe leveled against the AIG are all false and misleading as investigations revealed.
Earlier while giving clarification and setting the records straight, Ogechi Kalu Orji said what actually transpired in 2023 was that he and another native doctor, Uche Ngwo Uche, went to a village for the removal of a charm.
According to him, in the process of removing the charm from the ground, it allegedly fell from the hands of Uche Ngwo Uche.
He explained that Young C Entertainment, instead of presenting the true facts, expunged what transpired and went ahead to allege that he was in the habit of killing people in the community.
Speaking on the matter, the AIG described the contents of the video as false, doctored and misleading, saying facts were deliberately tampered with to deceive the public.
He further disclosed that one Hon. Ebin Kalu Ebi, also known as Uche Kenok, later wrote a petition against the native doctor, alleging complaints bordering on possession of human heads, body parts and other grievous allegations.
According to the AIG, the allegations prompted the Zone to launch a full-scale investigation, during which it was discovered that no death occurred and no human parts were discovered as alleged.
”The other native doctor alleged to have been killed by Ogechi Kalu Orji is alive and has even made attempts to make videos to state that he is alive, contrary to the post by Young C Entertainment,” the AIG said.
He said upon conclusion of investigations into the petition written by Hon. Ebin Kalu Ebi, the police released Ogechi Kalu Orji after discovering that the allegations were false.
The AIG expressed concern over the attitude of individuals who tarnish the image of others, noting that Young C Entertainment went further to release another video alleging that he, the AIG, collected bribe to release the native doctor.
He reaffirmed the Inspector General of Police’s zero tolerance for corruption and sharp practices, stressing that the Nigeria Police Force cannot be associated with such acts. He also stressed that he never collected bribe from anyone as alleged by Young C Entertainment in the video, emphasising that since there were no deaths linked to the suspect, he was released as required by law.
According to him, thorough investigation was conducted and it was established that Ogechi Kalu Orji did not commit any offence and did not kill anyone as alleged.
The AIG warned members of the public against using social media to peddle false narratives in pursuit of monetization, adding that the Command is poised to arrest Young C Entertainment for spreading misleading information capable of causing public disaffection.
