ISUOCHI – The APC Candidate for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon. Barr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, PhD, OON, on Saturday joined the people of Ndiawa, Isuochi in Umunneochi LGA to celebrate the New Yam Festival, Iwa Ji.

‎In a statement on X, Onyejeocha described the festival as a beautiful tradition that reminds the people of their roots, strength and the blessings of God upon their land.

‎She said the cutting of the new yam was an opportunity to give thanks for a good harvest and to appreciate farmers for their hard work in feeding the nation.

‎According to her, the festival stands for unity, culture and the value of hard work that brings communities together. She added that it was more important than ever to hold on to the values that define the people.

‎The former Minister of State for Labour and Employment pledged her commitment to supporting farmers, preserving culture and making agriculture profitable and attractive to young people.
‎
‎Onyejeocha prayed that the new yam season would bring peace, prosperity and progress to every home, and asked God to continue to bless the land and its people.
