According to Bakatsine, the attackers also abducted the deceased’s wife and another resident of the neighbourhood identified as Maryam, a teacher. Their whereabouts remain unknown as of the time of filing this report.
”Another family has been shattered. Another community is left in fear,” Bakatsine wrote, questioning the urgency with which Nigeria’s banditry crisis is being addressed.
”How many more lives must be lost before Nigeria’s banditry crisis is treated with the urgency it demands?” he added.
Efforts to get an official confirmation from the Kebbi State Police Command were ongoing as of press time.
