Former Manchester United striker Teddy Sheringham says England manager Thomas Tuchel will regret leaving Chelsea’s Cole Palmer out of the 2026 World Cup squad.
Sheringham told newsmen that Palmer offers a “distinct edge” England will miss in the tournament, citing his ability to unlock compact defences with trickery other players lack.
Tuchel excluded Palmer from the squad citing poor club form, injury issues, and limited impact in national team camps. The manager opted for players with stronger seasons who fit his tactical setup.
Palmer, who was decisive for Chelsea in previous seasons, has struggled for form and fitness this year.
