The House of Assembly candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for Isiala Ngwa South, Engr. Chibuzo Esihe, has promised to make the voices of his constituents heard if elected to represent them in the Abia House of Assembly come 2027.

‎Engr. Esihe disclosed this while addressing newsmen on Thursday night at the APC Secretariat in Umuahia. He said, in line with his campaign slogan, “Our People, Our Voice, Our Land, Let’s Change the Narrative,” he would ensure that the people of Isiala Ngwa South are no longer relegated to the background.

‎He decried what he described as years of low representation for Isiala Ngwa South in the Abia House of Assembly, insisting that the narrative would change if he emerges victorious in 2027.

‎“We have actually reduced the representation of our people to rhetoric, to proverbial sentiments and the like. What I am bringing on board is representation that changes the face of our people in education and in agricultural revolution,” he said.

‎Engr. Esihe stated that if elected, he intends to establish ICT-driven youth empowerment halls in all four blocks of Isiala Ngwa South.

‎He added that since the world is now technology-driven, it is important for the people of Isiala Ngwa South to move with the changing tide.

‎“I say it without mincing words: because we are from Isiala Ngwa South, we have been left behind. My idea is to bring about ICT-innovative hubs that will train and empower our people to be ICT-savvy, so they can compete in today’s world,” he said.

‎Speaking on his connection with the people of Isiala Ngwa South, Esihe said he has been impacting lives for the past seven years through the Chibuzo Esihe Health Foundation.

‎“For the past seven years, I have used my foundation to empower our people in youth empowerment, sports development, free medical services, and in paying school fees for the less privileged. The list is endless. If you ask how else I intend to reach the people, look at someone who has invested in them with his own resources, without holding any government elective position before.

‎“It is also important to know that with the little opportunity I had working previously for the state government, I was able to impact lives by helping people secure employment at both the federal and state levels. The records are there for you to check.”

‎On his chances of defeating the incumbent member representing Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency, Esihe sounded optimistic, saying his mandate is divine.

‎“You need to understand that this journey is a divine journey, and whatever is divine, God fights for His people. I have demystified every Goliath in my heart. I’m not going to tell you my strategy or what I will do. But one thing is certain: victory shall surely come at the end of the day,” he said.
