Dr. Eric Opah, APC chieftain and President General of Nsulu, has denied endorsing Governor Alex Otti for a second term, saying his comments in a viral video were made strictly in his capacity as a community leader, not as a politician.

‎The clarification comes after a video circulating on social media questioned Opah’s partisan loyalty and accused him of backing Otti for 2027.

‎In a statement on Monday made available to newsmen by his Media Team, the Team said Opah was only appreciating the appointment of an Nsulu indigene as Chief of Staff to the Governor.

The Team added that he was speaking for many Nsulu sons and daughters who intend to host the Governor in recognition of work done in the area.

‎“There was nothing partisan in his remarks,” a statement from his media team said.

‎The team also faulted critics for ignoring the part where Opah reminded Governor Otti of the deplorable state of roads in Nsulu and urged urgent intervention.

‎“It is unfortunate how quickly propaganda spreads in our political space, with some people distorting simple statements to score cheap political points,” the statement read.

‎The team urged the public to distinguish facts from propaganda, stressing that Opah remains a committed chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

‎“Eric Opah’s loyalty firmly stands with the APC, and it will remain so,” the statement concluded.
