Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Culture, Tourism and National Orientation, has congratulated Olatunji Rilwan Disu on his appointment as the Inspector-General of the Nigerian Police Force.
President Tinubu on Tuesday removed Kayode Egbetokun as Inspector General of Police, IGP. He was replaced by Tunji Disu, an Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG.
His removal is said to have followed Tinubu’s directive for him to resign.
Reacting to the appointment of Olatunji Rilwan Disu as the Inspector-General of the Nigerian Police Force via his verified X handle on Tuesday, Femi Fani-Kayode, described him as brilliant writer, artist and a formidable intellectual, focused, effective, fair-minded and an eagle-eyed law enforcement officer.
Fani-Kayode a former Minister of Aviation said, “I am so proud of you my brother. May God guide and lead you in this great assignment which has been bestowed upon you at this auspicious time.”
