abducted Farmer’s Leader Rescued

‎Bandits stormed Chiromawa town in Garun Malam LGA of Kano State on Saturday night, killing three people, injuring five others and abducting the State’s Sarkin Noma, Alhaji Yusuf Nadabo Chiromawa.

‎Security expert Bakatsine disclosed this in a post on his X handle on Sunday.

‎According to him, the abducted farmer’s leader was rescued on Sunday morning through the combined efforts of soldiers and local vigilantes.

‎“While the rescue is a relief, three people were killed and five others injured,” Bakatsine stated.

‎He, however, raised concerns over how the attackers were able to storm the community, carry out the attack and escape.

‎“How did the bandits manage to storm the community, carry out the attack and escape in the first place, and what will it take to stop this from happening again?” he asked.

‎The incident is the latest in a series of attacks affecting farming communities in the state.

‎Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the attack as of the time of filing this report.
