Three young men were killed and a teenage girl injured after gunmen suspected to be Fulani bandits attacked a smoking spot in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.

‎Sources told security expert Zagazola Makama that troops of Sector 4, Operation Enduring Peace, OPEP, responded to reports of sporadic gunfire around Rantiya community at about 7:58 p.m. on July 4.

‎On arrival, the troops found three males shot dead at the scene. A girl who sustained gunshot wounds was also rescued.
‎
‎The bodies were deposited at the General Hospital in Barkin Ladi, while the injured girl was rushed to Damlak Clinic for treatment.
‎
‎The sources said troops have commenced a manhunt for the fleeing attackers. Security agencies added that investigations are ongoing to restore calm and prevent further attacks in the area.
