The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Abia State, Ukoha Njoku Ukoha, has confirmed that unknown Gunmen attacked three members of the advance team from the Office of the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, in the early hours of Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
A public notice issued to newsmen on Tuesday, said the team was on duty to Sam Mbakwe Airport, Imo State, before they were attacked by unidentified gunmen.
According to Ukoha, the incident occurred between Umuowa and Ihite junction, before the Sam Mbakwe Airport Junction in Imo State.
He however, assured Abians and the general public that the convoy of Governor Otti was not involved in the attack, informing that no life was lost during the unfortunate incident.
