‎Troops Step Up Rescue Mission for Man Abducted in Plateau Community

Troops of Sector 1, Sub-Sector 12 have intensified search-and-rescue operations for Mr. Zira Osata, abducted at Adonai village in Kwang District, Jos North LGA of Plateau State.

‎Security sources said the victim was kidnapped at about 2:26 a.m. on May 31 by unidentified gunmen. Troops were mobilised immediately after a distress call and have since launched coordinated operations in suspected criminal hideouts around the area.

‎According to security expert Zaragoza Makama, the military is working with Keystone, a local security support initiative, to track the abductors and secure Osata’s release, while intelligence-led operations have also been extended to surrounding communities to monitor the kidnappers’ movement.

‎Military authorities assured residents of sustained security presence and urged the public to provide timely information to support ongoing efforts.

‎It was further learnt that operations remain active to ensure the safe recovery of the victim and arrest of those responsible.
