DANKO-WASAGU — Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA on Wednesday evening, rescued six kidnapped victims along the Wasagu–Ayu Road in Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
Military sources said the troops acted swiftly on credible intelligence and engaged the terrorists. The pressure forced the attackers to abandon the victims and flee into the bush.
All six victims were rescued unharmed and have since been reunited with their families.
The successful operation has been commended by security analysts, with experts noting that timely intelligence and rapid response remain critical to curbing kidnapping in the North West.
