Tinubu Orders Permanent Security Reinforcement At NIPSS Kuru After Bandit Attack

President Bola Tinubu has ordered the immediate and permanent reinforcement of security at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS, Kuru, Plateau State, following a bandit attack on the institute’s perimeter.

Tinubu gave the directive through Vice President Kashim Shettima on Friday while addressing participants of Senior Executive Course 48, 2026, at NIPSS.

The President said the attack had strengthened the Federal Government’s resolve to protect national institutions, support security personnel, and ensure the country is not caught unprepared by future attacks.

‎He conveyed the condolences of the Federal Government to the families of two soldiers and one policeman killed during the attack.
‎
‎President Tinubu directed emergency security measures to be activated without delay just as he ordered the Director-General of NIPSS to work with the Defence Headquarters, DHQ, Nigeria Police Force, NPF, and Department of State Services, DSS, to fortify the institute’s perimeter.

‎He added that a comprehensive action plan and timeline for the permanent reinforcement, covering surveillance, personnel, access control, and emergency systems, must be submitted to the Office of the Vice President within 72 hours.
