Emerging reports say gunmen suspected to be herdsmen have attacked Otobi-Akpa community in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, killing no fewer than four residents in a midnight attack.
Sources said the assailants, heavily armed, invaded the community around 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, shooting sporadically and forcing residents to flee for safety.
It was further gathered that the attack, which lasted for several hours, claimed the lives of Hon. Ochi Ayedu, Eje Uzu, Alinko, and Achibi, while several other residents are still unaccounted for.
Newsbuka reports that this comes a months after a deadly assault on the same Otobi-Akpa community which left at least 13 people dead, many others injured or reported missing while more than 50 houses were burnt.
