ENUGU — Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, has celebrated the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Geometric Power Limited, Professor Bart Nnaji, on his 70th birthday, describing him as a pioneer of indigenous power development in Nigeria.
Speaking at a colourful event attended by family, friends and distinguished Nigerians, Governor Mbah said Professor Nnaji’s decision to return home and invest in people and critical infrastructure remains an enduring example of patriotism.
”Some journeys are defined not just by how far you go, but by your decision to come home and build,” the Governor said.
He noted that as a pioneer of indigenous power development, Professor Nnaji has shown that true success is measured not only by what you achieve, but by how you use it to transform lives.
”His decision to return home and invest in people and critical infrastructure remains an enduring example,” Governor Mbah stated.
The Governor linked the celebration to his administration’s vision for Enugu State.
”That is the future we are building in Enugu: a place where every young person can access world class opportunities, thrive at home, and where those who have gone out into the world will always find a reason to return,” he said.
Governor Mbah concluded: “Tomorrow is here.”
Professor Bart Nnaji is the CEO of Geometric Power Plant in Aba, Abia State.
The plant is one of Nigeria’s leading independent power projects and is credited with providing stable electricity to Aba and environs.
