‎Senate Begins Screening of Musa as New Minister of Defence

‎The Nigerian Senate has commenced the screening of a former Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, General Christopher Musa, rtd, as the new Minister of Defence.

‎The screening followed Musa’s nomination by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday.

‎Newsbuka reports that if confirmed, Musa will replace the former Defence Minister, Mohammed Badaru, who resigned from the position on health grounds.

‎Recall that President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday nominated Musa as Minister of Defense.

‎He served as Chief of Defence Staff from 2023 until October 2025.
