Following the abduction of four persons in Karaye Local Government Area of the state, security forces in Kano State have launched a manhunt for suspected armed bandits.

‎Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred on Tuesday when about eight armed men, suspected to be bandits and wielding AK-47 rifles, invaded Adama village in Karaye LGA.
‎
‎It was revealed that the assailants abducted four members of the Alhaji Boyi Adama family. The victims were identified as: Aliyu Bello, Sani Bello, Razika Aliyu Bello and Shu’aibu Salisu.
‎
‎Sources said the suspects reportedly fled the area before the arrival of security operatives.
‎
‎On reaching the scene, an empty 7.62mm ammunition shell was recovered just as security forces have intensified efforts to rescue the victims unhurt and track down the perpetrators.
‎
‎The government has also assured residents that sustained security operations are ongoing to apprehend those responsible and restore calm to the affected community.
‎
‎In recent times, Bandit attacks have intensified in parts of Kano State, particularly in communities bordering Kano and Katsina states.
