The Nigeria Police Force has presented cheques totalling N11,400,252.35 to 18 beneficiaries and next-of-kin of deceased police officers under the Group Life Assurance (GLA) and Group Personal Accident (GPA) Insurance Schemes.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bashir Usman, said the cheques were presented by the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, Umar Hadejia, on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.

The Commissioner reaffirmed the commitment of the IGP and the Force Management Team to the welfare of police officers and their families.

He noted that the service and contributions of the deceased officers to the nation remain appreciated, adding that the insurance benefits would provide meaningful support to their families.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, the Force Management Team and the Commissioner of Police for the gesture, describing it as a demonstration of the Force’s continued concern for the families of deceased personnel.
