Plateau State Government has imposed a 48-hour curfew on Jos North Local Government Area, effective from 12 midnight, March 29, 2026, to April 1, 2026.

‎The curfew follows a tragic security incident at Gari Ya Waye community, Angwan Rukuba, on Sunday, March 29, 2026, resulting in loss of lives and several injuries.

‎Meanwhile, Governor Caleb Mutfwang has condemned the “barbaric and unprovoked attack” and assured that perpetrators would be apprehended and brought to justice.

‎He urged citizens to remain calm, vigilant, and cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information to aid investigations.

‎Commissioner for Information, Joyce Lohya Ramnap in a statement said the government and security agencies imposed the curfew to restore order.
