BIRNIN KEBBI – Emerging reports suggest that Hon. Justice Faruku Hassan Bunza of the Kebbi State High Court has regained his freedom, one week after he was abducted by gunmen.

‎A family member confirmed the judge’s release on Monday, saying he returned home safely after spending a week in captivity.

‎“We are in jubilation and full of gratitude to God for seeing our own return safely from captivity. He was just released and has returned home now after spending one week with the bandits,” the family member said.

‎The family expressed appreciation to the Kebbi State Judiciary, security agencies and members of the public who offered prayers and support throughout the period of the judge’s ordeal.

‎The circumstances surrounding his release were not immediately clear as of the time of filing this report.
