Lagos Assembly Gets First Female Clerk As Osinowo Takes Oath Of Office

The Lagos State House of Assembly has inaugurated Adenike Abolanle Osinowo as its first female Clerk since the Assembly was established 47 years ago.

‎Osinowo took the Oath of Office and Oath of Secrecy at a ceremony on Wednesday, marking a historic moment for the legislature.

‎Speaker of the House, Mudashiru Obasa, said the new Clerk is expected to bring her wealth of experience and deep understanding of legislative governance to strengthen parliamentary administration and advance democratic institutions in Lagos State.

‎The event also featured a valedictory session for the immediate past Clerk, Olalekan Onafeko.

‎Obasa described Onafeko as a committed and dedicated officer who repositioned the workforce to attain due diligence and utmost dedication to duty.

‎The ceremony was attended by the Wife of the Lagos State Governor, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, and the Head of Service, Bode Agoro, among other dignitaries.
