The Nigeria Police Force, Zone One Headquarters in Kano, has called on Muslim faithful to remain vigilant during Ramadan’s last ten days.
In a security advisory, Assistant Inspector General of Police Garba Ahmed reminded worshippers to be security-conscious, especially during late-night prayers.
The police warned that criminal elements might exploit the late hours to commit offences, advising residents to avoid isolated routes, safeguard belongings, and report suspicious movements to the nearest police station.
The command assured residents of its commitment to maintaining safety throughout the period.
”We remain committed to ensuring safety of all residents throughout the period and beyond,” the statement signed by DSP Abdullahi Hussaini said, urging public cooperation with police and security agencies to maintain peace and security.
