A member of the Ikeoha Movement, Alwell Asibuogu, has said the people of Isiala Ngwa North/South are projecting Sir Uzoma Ihuka for the House of Representatives because of his good conduct, charisma and kindness.
Asibuogu stated this on Friday during an enlarged meeting of Ikeoha Movement at the country home of Rt. Hon. Christopher Ewerenmadu.
“I have known him for a long time. The chances of winning the election is by the people’s choice,” he said.
“Because we, his people, want him to contest and represent us because of his good conduct and his good behavior. As he stands, he’s a leader with charisma and kindness. So as long as his people wish to vote for him, that is the best,” Asibog added.
He stressed that Ihuka is not forcing himself on the people.
“Ihuka is not forcing himself to us. Rather, we are the people that choose him to come and represent us,” he said.
Asibuogu listed federal opportunities and inclusive representation as key expectations from Ihuka if elected.
“Number one is federal opportunities to our people. And number two, to make sure that all the electorate are carried along so that they will feel the impact of their votes,” he said.
Asibuogu lamented that in the past, elected representatives abandoned the people after winning elections.
“Most times, you observe that in past governments, after the candidates have used the office, there will be no recognition, there will be no encouragement,” he said.
