The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has put the success rate of the just-concluded Osun State governorship election at 95 per cent.
The Director of Voter Education and Publicity, INEC, Mrs. Victoria Eta-Messi, stated this while speaking on the NTA flagship programme, “Good Morning Nigeria” on Monday.
She said the deployment of personnel and electoral materials, as well as the management of results on the INEC Result Viewing Portal, IReV, all performed optimally.
”From logistics to the conduct of the poll and transmission of results, we recorded a 95 per cent success rate. The process was largely hitch-free,” Eta-Messi said.
Recall that the incumbent Governor, Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, won the election.
The Commission commended voters, security agencies, and other stakeholders for their role in ensuring a peaceful and credible exercise.
