Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, has declared that he has a good relationship with Igbo people.
The former Rivers State Governor disclosed this during his ‘thank you’ tour to Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State on Sunday.
Wike also revealed that he is not a member of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-cultural organization.
Faulting the Ohanaeze Ndigbo President-General, John Mbata, Wike said he believed that he would have access to South-East governors to collect money.
According to Wike, Ikwerre people have declared Mbata persona non grata for referring to the tribe as Igbos.
The FCT Minister also dismissed Mbata’s support for Governor Sim Fubara’s second term, noting that the Ohanaeze President-General does not speak for Ikwerre people.
He also reaffirmed his Ikwerre identity, stating that Mbata cannot bury his mother and his only brother because he is dragging property.
