‎Fight Against Insecurity: Gov Okpebholo Announces Plans to Procure Drones

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State, has announced that his administration is procuring drones to tackle insecurity in the state.

‎‎The governor disclosed this on Thursday while receiving the new Commander of the 4 Brigade, Nigerian Army, General Ahmed Olatunboju Balogun, on a courtesy visit to Government House in Benin City,

‎Okpebholo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to securing the lives and property of citizens of Edo State just as he assured the Nigerian Army of the state government’s full co-operation and continuous support in the fight against insecurity and other crimes.

‎‎The Governor encouraged the new Commander of the 4 Brigade to communicate any operational challenges requiring the state’s intervention.

‎‎Responding, Brigadier General Balogun stated that he considered it necessary to visit the governor shortly after assuming command, pledging to consolidate the existing co-operation between the military and the state government.

‎‎He communicated areas needing prompt attention, including the completion of the Ekenwa Barracks road, the stalled renovation of the brigade school, and the need for drones to enhance technological-driven operations.
