…targets 10 Million Votes For Tinubu In 2027
The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, met with the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, and other student bodies to discuss the Renewed Hope Agenda and mobilize support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.
The meeting, held in Abuja, had in attendance the NANS President, Comrade Babatunde Afeez Akinteye; President of NAUS, Comrade Meshach Nwankwo; President of NAPS, Comrade Jimoh Ibrahim; President of NANCES, Comrade Kur Isaac Ushahemba; members of the NANS Executive Council; and the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Student Engagement, Comrade Sunday Asefon.
In a statement posted on his official X handle, Dr. Alausa said the engagement afforded him the opportunity to listen to students’ perspectives on the future of education in Nigeria.
He noted that discussions centered on progress made under the Renewed Hope Agenda, including NELFUND, TVET, student accommodation, renewable energy, entrepreneurship, and improved campus infrastructure.
The Minister said he also listened to concerns raised on scholarships, admissions, and accreditation, and reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to addressing them.
Dr. Alausa, who serves as the APC Campaign Council’s Director on Education Sector Mobilisation, disclosed that he will be working closely with NANS to mobilize 10 million student votes for President Tinubu in 2027.
According to him, the votes will help sustain the ongoing reforms and deliver greater opportunities for young Nigerians.
He thanked the NANS leadership and Comrade Asefon for the visit and continued engagement.
