A political pressure group, Tell Your Neighbours Group For Quality Representation Initiatives, has taken a swipe at the Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon. Amobi Ogah, over what it described as his shallow style of representation.
In a statement by the group’s Public Relations Officer, Chika Kanu, the group stated that buying a few cars and tricycles for some constituents will not leave any lasting legacy, stressing that the people deserve outstanding legislative impact, not handouts.
It noted that the people should be projected into the scheme of things through employment opportunities with job security that can feed families forever, rather than cars and keke whose lifespan may not be sustained for long.
Reacting to a recent Facebook post where the lawmaker was boasting of bringing more cars as campaign gifts to his followers, the group through its Public Relations Officer, Chika Kanu, described the post as ridiculous and disappointing.
According to the group, Hon. Ogah should instead itemize his scorecard in the last three wasted years for proper assessment, rather than hiding under gifts to loyalists.
The group called on the good people of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency to reject Hon. Ogah and not fall for his antics, noting that they have a better choice in ensuring that Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha returns to bring back the quality legislative impact that stood her out among lawmakers in Nigeria.
It further warned against further experimentation in representing the constituency, stating that such experiments have set the area backwards.
