Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion have announced the signing of young Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna on a five-year contract.
The Seagulls confirmed the transfer in a statement released on their official website on Saturday.
“Brighton & Hove Albion have agreed the signing of winger Zadok Yohanna from AIK Stockholm on a five-year contract until June 2031 for undisclosed terms,” the club wrote.
“Zadok will complete his move to the club when the transfer window reopens and it will be subject to the usual regulatory approvals.
“The 18-year-old Nigerian, who turns 19 later this month, will join us having established himself as one of the most exciting prospects in Europe, after making a big impact in Sweden’s top division this season.
“Zadok began his career at the Ikon Allah Football Academy in Nigeria before moving to Sweden in 2025, where he quickly adapted to European football with AIK.
“He has made 18 appearances for AIK this season in the league and cup, scoring five goals and providing four assists.”
Speaking after completing the move, Yohanna revealed that Brighton’s proven track record of nurturing young talent was the driving force behind his transfer from AIK Stockholm.
The winger said the club’s philosophy perfectly aligns with his ambitions and attributes.
